LEAGUE OF LEGENDS (LoL)
LoL is a 5v5 team strategy game (MOBA). Two teams compete to destroy the opposing Nexus. Matches are divided into phases (laning, mid, late game) with strategic objectives such as dragons, Baron Nashor, and towers.
Specific Rules
- LoL matches have no fixed duration; they average 30–40 minutes but can exceed 60.
- Series format: Bo1, Bo3, or Bo5 depending on the tournament.
- Remakes: if a remake is declared by the system (player experiencing a technical issue in the first 3 minutes), the match is replayed and pre-game bets are refunded. In-play bets placed before the remake is declared are voided.
- Technical pauses of up to 15 minutes do not invalidate bets. Pauses exceeding 30 minutes may result in in-play markets being voided.
- Gold penalties applied by Riot or the tournament organiser affect the final result for settlement purposes.
- A forfeit win (WO) counts as a win for all map markets, with the exception of individual markets (first blood, first dragon, etc.), which will be refunded.
- Game patches (updates) released during a tournament do not affect the validity of bets.
- Champion swaps during the draft do not affect bets, except in specific pick/ban markets.
Settlement and Results
- Match Winner: the team that destroys the opposing Nexus (or wins by WO/forfeit).
- First Blood: the first player character to die determines which team secured the kill.
- First Tower: settled based on the first Tier 1 or Tier 2 tower destroyed in any lane.
- Duration: calculated from the formal start of the match to the destruction of the Nexus (as shown in the kill feed on the official broadcast).
- Series markets (Bo3/Bo5): settled based on the total number of maps won.
- If a match is interrupted after 5 minutes and not resumed, in-play markets based on events that have already occurred are valid; all others are refunded.
